Ho there, friend! I welcome you to my realm. I am Finn O'Driscoll, proud programming mercenary, elite coding wizard, and yes, a mighty slayer of dragons.

Let me tell you a bit about myself.

Games and gaming are my passions, and are the main reason that I've dedicated my life to programming. My journey started in Canterbury FE College, where I was the winner of the Clarissa Million award for highest academic achievement. I later graduated from the University of Teesside with a First Honors degree in Computer Games Programming. Along the way, I've mastered C++, Java, and Actionscript 2 - the latter two being self-taught. I also have some experience with C# and Javascript as scripting languages in Unity (likewise self-taught).

I'm experienced in both the multifaceted approach required to build independent programs, as well as the coordination and collaboration required for team projects. One of my favorite team experiences in university was the building of a small game of our own design, and I worked with other programmers, artists, and designers to produce an accomplished game. I've also joined forces with an American friend of mine to develop Flash and Unity games--I do all of the coding and production, and she handles design and music.

I've spent considerable time working with GUIs, mainly via Java Swing - I was commissioned to create a pair of tools for the University of Huddersfield, and I built an interactive visual app for an online text-based gaming community I belong to. I've also used Swing for the graphical aspects of two of my assessment projects in my university course. One of the modules in my university course was specifically oriented towards creating a user-friendly interface for a creative tool.

As a dedicated, enthusiastic, and hardworking programmer, I am looking to bring my skills to aiding the production of great games!
